Over the years Greenroads has been very active in projects related to AI & sustainable mobility. Here you can see the top projects we delivered or contributed to.
PATTERN
AI at the service of road infrastructures.
PATTERN is an EU-funded project focused on revolutionising road infrastructure management through innovative technologies and strategic collaborations. PATTERN, which is an acronym for ‘Planning a Digital Twin for Greener Road Infrastructure’, is a collaborative effort involving a consortium of partners from various European countries who, together with Greenroads are dedicated to driving positive change in the transportation sector.
RAPTOR
RAPTOR is funded by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.
Greenroads participated in the RAPTOR programme, whose aim is to encourage positive changes in the way people, freight and waste move around cities in order to make them more liveable places.
Use case: Ghent, Belgium: Traffic safety analyses
City of Ghent needed to efficiently reduce congestion, and enhance road safety for pedestrians.
Our goal? Utilise drone video to analyse data on vehicle and pedestrian behaviour on a complex junction. The project spanned several months, with continuous contribution and customisations.
This data is providing city planners with detailed insights into traffic patterns, congestion points, and pedestrian flows and an understanding of how traffic moves through the critical junctions, The insights gained provide a reusable data model to inform future city planning initiatives, enabling more informed decisions in urban planning and infrastructure development ensuring data privacy and scalability without vendor lock-in.
Eureka
Eureka is the world’s biggest public network for international cooperation in R&D and innovation, present in over 45 countries.
Greenroads participated in the Innowwide programme, funded by the European Union, to support SMEs going global expansion.
The project AITUS project Improve TMC services and audit Tolling Systems in the USAValue added on toll road management using existing cameras.
Our goal? Utilise existing road cameras on the road for auditing tolling systems and provide real-time alerts at the Traffic Management Center. The project spanned a pilot over 4 months and client is interested in continuing.
This data is providing valuable reporting for auditing revenues, improving safety on the road and planning maintenance activities.
The project was supported by Eureka Innowide in cooperation with Eclipse.
MARVEL
MARVEL (Multimodal Extreme Scale Data Analytics for Smart Cities Environments) aims to help decision-makers improve the quality of life and the services available to citizens, particularly as regards to open spaces and road networks.
Greentrips.eu
