MARVEL (Multimodal Extreme Scale Data Analytics for Smart Cities Environments) aims to help decision makers improve the quality of life of and services available to citizens particularly as regards to open spaces and road networks.
Europe has seen significant investments in digital technologies, resulting in huge amounts of data being generated from many sources. MARVEL will use a disruptive computing framework that uses responsible AI to respect ethical and privacy limits and build models to process that data. These new models will identify events (e.g., automatic detection of cyclists, trajectories of cyclists, accidents and emergencies) which were previously difficult to detect automatically.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation program under grant agreement No 957337.
Greentrips has been rolled out in conjunction with project Aegle Foundation as a socio-environmental initiative, intended to reduce private car use & reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions by encouraging and rewarding sustainable mobility.
This started with the support of EIT ClimateKIC as a rewards platform to encourage and reward citizens for using sustainable mobility modes. This acted as a catalyst for positive behavioural and social change, promoting responsible and sustainable mobility.
With the support of EIT Urban Mobility, The Greentrips platform has now evolved to a citizen engagement initiative, focusing on positive constructive recommendations that dare Maltese residents to dream and ask what if? and drive a better mobility future in Malta in three easy steps:
Discover: Get informed about sustainable transport
Share Ideas and Experiences: Come up with ideas to improve transport and open spaces
Join The Change: Change our mobility habits or even get involved
Together we achieve more. Greenroads is always open to collaboration with authorities, voluntary organisations, universities, and enterprises who share our vision and want to build a better future together enabled by technology.
